Aetna is one of the top medical insurances in the country. They are based out of Hartford, Connecticut and serve the greater United States. They are a consumer directed health care directed towards patient\'s needs for wellness. Aetna strives to work closely with doctors and employees by driving change to the healthcare system. They also strive to provide insurance to patients at a lower cost than many other insurances while also providing world-class health and wellness insurance.

Within network clinics are chosen from health care providers who have a great track record and offer health care at an affordable rate. Aetna often works closely with health care providers to provide excellent service to their insurers. They also give insurers the option to use their smart phones and check in with their primary care doctor via their smart phone. They are one of the few insurance options that are using the latest technology while also being cutting edge. Their dedication to improving to community as well as the patient is something we enjoy being a part of.

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association is a national company, comprised of 36 independent, community-based, and locally operated Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies, covering more than 106 million members. Nationwide, more than 90% of hospitals and providers contract with Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies. They are the nation\'s largest and oldest family of health benefit companies.

Cigna was founded in 1792 making it one of the oldest health insurance companies in the United States. It was called the INA (Insurance Company of North America.) Then, in 1865, the Connecticut General Life Insurance Company (CG) was established. The two companies merged in 1982, creating Cigna.

Cigna now works with more than 30 countries. They provide coverage for more than 75 million people worldwide. They are constantly using new technology and supporting alternative medicines, such as the Chiropractor.

First Choice Health is a Seattle-based, physician and hospital owned company that serves the Pacific Northwest. They have provided insurance services since 1985. Just under one million people make use of the products and services they provide in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and select areas of North Dakota and South Dakota.

GEHA is the second largest national insurance plan that serves federal employees, federal retirees and their families, providing coverage to more than 1 million people worldwide. GEHA was formed in 1937 in Kansas City to help provide U.S. Railway Mail Clerks with their medical expenses. In 1964, the company became known as the Government Employees Hospital Association after decades of expanding its scope to cover other branches of government employees. Today it serves over 8 million federal enrollees and dependents, including retirees.

Group Health Cooperative (formally Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound) is a non for profit healthcare organization we use here at Bremerton Wellness. They are based in Seattle, Washington. They were founded in 1945. This nonprofit health care provider was founded by Thomas G. Bevan who worked at Boeing.

Group Health is one of the only health care providers that functions as a cooperative yet remains a nonprofit. They are constantly changing their bylaws and working with their board of trustees to change health care for the individual rather than make the individual work around them.

Group Health Cooperative built a library in 1969. One of their focus\' is to provide a huge database full of electronic material and aid. Their focus is to lead medical professionals to constantly changing procedures and documents in the medical field.

KPS Health Plans have also transitioned into Group Health as of 2016. Both KPS and Group Health strive to provide excellent plans and services to the community and individuals. By combining these health operatives, both companies plan to enhance the patient experience while also keeping the rising costs of health care at a minimum. At Bremerton Wellness, we work with PPO plans (Preferred Provider Organization.) across Kitsap County (as well as Mason, Jefferson, and Clallam.)

Humana was founded in 1972 and has grown to become the largest hospital operator in the nation. The company offers a wide range of products and services, including group health insurance and Medicare plans. It is the largest publicly traded managed health company in the country and serves more than 6 million enrollees through its various plans and services.

Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people aged 65 and older. Medicare also covers certain people who are younger than 65 that live with disabilities and people that have been diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Disease. There are different parts of Medicare that cover different services. Medicare Part B covers certain doctors' services, outpatient care, preventative services, and medical supplies.

OWCP stands for the Office of Workers' Compensation Programs. The OWCP administers four major disability compensation programs which provide wage replacement benefits, medical treatment, vocational rehabilitation and other benefits to certain workers or their dependents who experience work-related injury or occupational disease.

Premera Blue Cross is a nonprofit licensed health insurance provider located in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. They are a part of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association umbrella as they service Alaska, Oregon, and Washington State. Although Premera was founded in 1945 by the Washington Hospital Service, they has served our patients in Washington State since 1933.

Many national companies use Premera such as Starbucks, Unversity of Alaska, and the Washington Education Association. Premera prides itself on providing excellent preventative care for its members. For example, Premera cover one annual preventative visit with the primary care doctor.

Regence BlueSheild serves select counties in Washington state. They are an insurance company that prides themselves on their integrity. They are committed to satisfying their members and to a job well done. They work with their internal and external partners to fulfill the needs of their members to satisfaction. They demonstrate leadership in the communities they serve and the health care industry. They are a not-for-profit organization, remaining focused on providing value to their members.

United HealthCare is a part of UnitedHealth Group and is the largest health insurance provider in the country. It was founded in 1974 by a group of physicians and other health care professionals who wanted to expand health care coverage for consumers. Today they are known as the largest and most innovative health insurance provider in the industry, and are 6^th on the Fortune 500.
